FDDI Rohtak was established in 1986 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It is recognised as an Institution of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017. The institute is located in Sector 31-B, Rohtak, Haryana. The FDDI Rohtak campus is spread across 15 acres of land and is equipped with all facilities like Design Laboratories, IT Labs, Visual Merchandising labs, hostels, and, libraries.
The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Rohtak offers 4-year undergraduate courses in the disciplines of Design and Production. The institute offers two UG courses which are B.Des (Footwear Design and Production) and B.Des (Fashion Design). Step 1: Visit the official website fddiindia.com. Click on “Apply Now” and obtain the application form.
Step 2: Fresh candidates are required to create a new “FDDI Login” by entering details like email id, course, date of birth, etc. Click on “Submit” and the candidate will be registered and a confirmation will be sent on the email id entered.
Step 3: The email id and date of birth will be used to log in to the website to fill out the application form.
Step 4: Fill out the detailed application form for FDDI admission and click on “Save” to proceed to the next section.
Step 5: Upload the candidate's photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
Step 6: Once the form is complete, make the FDDI fee payment for the application which is mentioned below:
Application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category: Rs 600 (non-refundable)
Application fee for SC/ ST/ PWD Category: Rs 300 (non-refundable)
The fee will be accepted only through the online payment gateway via debit card, credit card, and, net banking.
Step 7: On the basis of the information provided in the application form, the admit card for the FDDI AIST exam will be issued to students. They are required to download the admit card for the exam on the prescribed date.
Note: If candidates are opting to appear for the UCEED exam, they must register on uceed.iitb.ac.in for the same and appear for the exam.

FDDI Rohtak placements are overseen by the Training and Placement Department of the institute. It is responsible for all the placement-related activities conducted for the students. It invited recruiters for various placement talks, seminars, webinars, and, training sessions. The placement data for 2024 has not been released yet. FDDI Rohtak scholarships and sponsorships are offered to its deserving students. The scholarships are awarded on merit basis as well as need basis to the students. To avail for the scholarships, candidates are required to fill out the FDDI Rohtak scholarship form. If the students fulfil the eligibility criteria for the same, then they are awarded scholarships.
National Scholarship Portal: The Central Government provides a variety of scholarships and concessions to students based on certain criteria. Students of FDDI Rohtak can avail of these scholarships through the NSP portal.

FDDI Rohtak eligibility criteria are placed to allot seats to students in the B.Des courses. The scores of the examinations like FDDI All India Selection Test (AIST) and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) are considered for selection into the B.Des courses. Candidates who possess a valid score of the UCEED exam are exempted from appearing in the AIST test. For the FDDI Rohtak course admissions in the B.Des courses, candidates who have appeared for the above-mentioned examinations, but the results have not been declared yet, can also apply. However, this is subject to the condition that the admission will be provisional until the candidate submits the result of the respective examination on or before September 30 of the year of admission.
Candidates who have a valid score of the UCEED exam will be exempted from appearing in the FDDI AIST test. In case the student has appeared for both the UCEED and AIST exams, the final selection ranks for such candidates will be devised on the basis of the FDDI AIST scores.
